Recovery is About Building a Life Worth Protecting
Recovery is about more than simply not using. It is also about understanding what is happening inside of us, learning new ways to respond to triggers and difficult emotions, rebuilding healthy relationships, and discovering that a meaningful life is still possible.
This eight-week, faith-based group combines professional counseling, trauma-informed support, and meaningful ground-based experiences with horses. No riding or previous horse experience is needed.

Tuesdays from 4:00 -5:30 p.m.
October 13th through December 1, 2026
Location: Living Life Ranch in Gardner, KS
Who May attend: Men and women ages 18 and older
Registration deadline: October 6
Because each session builds upon the one before it, participants should plan to attend all 8 weeks.

Every participant will have a short, private intake conversation with Traci before the group begins. This is a chance to ask questions, discuss insurance coverage, and decide together whether the group feels like a good fit.

Meet Traci
Traci is a licensed clinical therapist with more than 20 years of experience in addiction and mental health treatment. In this short video, she shares her heart for the group and what participants can expect.
Jayne Rider, Horse-Assisted Training Director
Jayne brings a trauma-informed, somatic and IFS-informed approach and four years of experience partnering with Jesus and horses to support people working through addiction and recovery. She will guide the horse experiences and help participants connect what they notice with the horses to their everyday lives.
Together, Traci and Jayne will create a compassionate, faith-based space where participants are invited to connect with themselves, the horses, one another and Jesus-without shame, pressure or judgment.
